The Silicon Group was formed in 1992 with the aim of providing the public with the opportunity to buy computer systems and components at trade prices. It was initially based in Alloa, but, following huge popularity, spread quickly to Edinburgh. We now have two branches, one in Alloa and one in Edinburgh both with dedicated technical support centres.

Unlike most other computer companies, The Silicon Group employs staff who have a genuine interest in computing and therefore have an excellent knowledge base. They are able to pass on their expertise in a way that even the most inexperienced user can understand.

It has always been our aim to provide the customer with help at every stage of the PC buying and upgrading process and our dedicated team of technicians provide an excellent service, both to owners of Silicon PCs and to ones that bought elsewhere.
